This is absolutely unique skill with some insane applications. The last skill from Nature is the famous Refresh. The other tree is of course Hearth of Oak + Permanence of Stone (no points in Tranquility of Water) for the great Health and Elemental Resist bonuses for me and my Wolves. I couldn't understand are they receive a hidden bonus on higher difficulties or just their leveling is doing this (because their leveling is not so impressive at least reading the numbers). From what I've read Wolves are fragile in normal and resilient at higher difficulty. The healing (Regrowth) tree is nice, but it's really expensive too so I am not investing there (I could go just 2 points for 300 hp heal, which is around the health of the 7/16 wolves). There are different options (for damage, for tankiness only or mixed), but I decided to go just wolves and Strength of the Pack (which give me bonus to my damage and attack speed) and to leave Maul and Survival Instinct to 1 point. So I should've choose what to be 1 point and what maxed. But the whole tree is very expensive (4 skills with respectively 16/12/16/12 skill at max). Generally most of them are revolving around Call of the Wild (summoning wolves). There are some different options and mix-ups. Giving the Calculator Link now so you can check my explanations below with the point distribution in the Calculator: But this is the build that I find best reflecting my vision for a Bowman and it's suiting my personal taste.īut it wasn't easy to choose a specific Ranger build. I even considered Warden (Hunting + Warfare) and even Bone Charmer (Hunting + Spirit).īut finally I chose classic Ranger (Hunting + Nature). But this would cost tons of skill points and I read complains about serious problems against Undead, because of their immunity to bleed. I was considering Brigand (Hunting + Rogue), for some heavy bleeding synergies since there are a lot of bleed bonuses and sources (especially the crucial Scatter Shot Arrows skill, which they changed to Bleed damage in Anniversary Edition). But the builds I saw was not very compelling to me personally (just the Lucid Dream tree and a Trance). I was reading about Haruspex (Hunting + Dream) as one of the most popular. And I was wondering the same - what secondary Mastery to choose. I just started a Hunter (straight to Bow and leveling Hunting). Well I wrote such a wall of text haha but I've enjoyed it, because writing in details about my build made it solidify in my mind.
